online CMS

Wow, I really struck a nerve with my comment on not wanting an online CMS. I guess I’ll need to give it more thought. Our internet connection isn’t the greatest. Plus we only have one broadband option (wireless) so we are limited in bandwidth. It seems nerve racking to always trust that internet connection. I guess it’s no different with a server. It’s just a matter of what do I want to trust.

I will admit, online is tempting. It will be hard enough to get them to part with the money for our 1st server. Since I’ve never set up a domain and such before, it would be nice to play with it without having to be completely dependant on the database that resides on it.

I’ve looked into Logos and ACS. I guess to be fair, I have to at least give F1 equal research time.

If you want to bop your server ideas off us feel free. You don’t need much cash to build a good SBS2003 box.

Your kidding? See, I was under the impression that servers were kinda expensive. I realize the software will run on a wide range of hardware but I figued the hardware part was pretty important.
