Hi. My name is Shellie. And I’m a…

Yes, I’m an addict.  I hate to admit it.  I shouldn’t be.  It’s not healthy.  But I have an addiction.  An embarrassing one.  One that no grown man in his right mind openly admits to his buddies.

I’m addicted…to American Idol.  Now, don’t misunderstand.  I don’t buy the albums, I don’t download the songs, and I don’t vote.  But I have to watch.

I even almost skipped a community group meeting with my dear friends because of the show.

What does this have to do with technology?  Because I finally got something that helps me feed my addiction, and still live my life to the fullest.

Sure, I’m several years late, but I have discovered the WONDERFUL joys of TiVo!  I can watch whenever I want, skip all the commercials, and never miss community group.

Just to brag on my group a little…  they were prepared to do our lesson early just so we could all watch Idol together and still have community time.  You gotta love people like that!  In the end, I went with the TiVo.  Now they don’t have to change just for my selfish addictions.

So, to recap… I have American Idol, TiVo, and the best friends anyone could ever want.  I think all that deserves a big Yea God! :)
