the ‘inside joke’ of worship
No, of course worship isn’t a joke…but it is fun.
Pastor Bob has this thing. We joke about it in meetings, but it’s really quite clever on his part and it always seems to work. It never feels forced. I’m a detail man, so I was the first to point it out to our worship teams. I wonder how many people in the audience even pick up on it.
In every lesson, Bob is able to plug a Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard. I don’t know how he does it. It’s always funny. The worship team is listening intently waiting for it now that I have pointed out that it’s always there. It’s a game. It’s a fun, inside joke that we all love to share in.
Again, I’m very curious to know who actually picks up on it in the audience. Nonetheless, it’s just one more thing that makes church fun.
