Teen charged in Regatta crash

I assume you all remember this post.  Here is an update from the Courier-Journal:

The 18-year-old who drove his car into a crowd of spectators at the Madison Regatta had been inhaling from an aerosol can of dust remover that contained Freon shortly before the accident, Jefferson County authorities said yesterday.

Prosecutors charged Michael W. Bowen of Madison with three counts each of operating while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury and criminal recklessness. He also was charged with one count of inhaling toxic vapors.

I know nothing about this is funny, but for some reason this caught my attention. This is from the same article:

State Rep. Ralph Foley, R-Martinsville, said the abuse of computer cleaning products has become an “underground epidemic” in Indiana in recent years and was the target of the new law.

I’ll let you read the whole article for yourself to put it all together.
