My syslog trials were a bust. Zenoss failed to impress. It was overly complicated. After some searching, I found many other ones that are quite a bit easier to work with. I liked the idea of Zenoss, but it was more frustration than it was worth.

We’ve been wanting some centralized syslogging at work. While we are waiting to purchase a commercial system, we’ve been looking at some free ones. The one that caught my attention was Zenoss.
