Has HP given up on its printers?

I am typically a fan of HP printers. You kind of have to be, they set the standard. Unfortunately, the time has now come for a new standard.
We buy a lot of printers around my workplace. Sharing isn’t exactly something our employees are known for. Our PC to [...]

Finally! We have a network!

Do you remember when you were this small? Did you work for your church then? It amazes me how much we have been able to grow and change over the past year! I’m beyond excited about this. I’m not sure why, it’s really not that complicated. But I’ve never set [...]

Cool stuff…from other people

I highly doubt there are many of you reading this that don’t also read Terry Storch. But just in case, he posted a link today to this blog that I thought was 100% accurate. The article talks about when it’s time to ditch an RSS feed or blog. And honestly, it made [...]

IPCOP’s had a few too many donuts

I finally have an IT project at Church!  Unfortunately, I screwed it up.   We are implementing an open wireless network to provide internet access to ‘Common Grounds’, our new in-house coffee shop/bookstore.  This is a huge step for us.  I was trying to find the best way to protect our local network from [...]

Tan - Patch Cables
Black - Serial Connections
Orange - Cross-Over Cables
Green - Wireless AP’s
We color code the wall keystones as well:
Orange - Data
Gray - Phone
Black - Serial
It makes [...]

I’m really bad at this

I love blogging. I love the idea. I love the community. But IT moves slow at NMCC. And although media is what I spend most of my time doing, isn’t my passion (at least to blog about).
For those of you who read… Thank you. I really want to post more [...]

I’m not dead

I’ve just been immersed in church and work.
NMCC has some amazing things on the horizon! I am so pumped about what God is doing in the hearts and lives of our members! I am astounded at how he’s moving in our community. And I’m humbled to have the opportunity to do what [...]

Office 2007 a home run. Vista? meh… take a base

I was lucky enough to score a free copy of Vista and Office 2007. I was also able to see a demonstration of both.
I was very under-whelmed with Vista. As a geek, I like a lot of the stuff it offers. But as a professional, I won’t be able to provide all [...]
